Secure Product Authentication at Highest Level
The expanding Tageos EOS Seal product family provides secure protection against counterfeiting, diversion, and unauthorized access across luxury goods, beverages, healthcare, and pharma. It enables instant consumer engagement and can boost supply chain and inventory transparency.
Strong Addition: The EOS-620 Seal EM4425 Inlay with Dual-Frequency Power
Since its introduction in May 2025 with the release of Tageos’ NFC-based anti-tamper products, the EOS Seal product family has been continuously growing. The newly added EOS-620 Seal EM4425 inlay is an innovative, flexible solution that protects brand owners while physically safeguarding products and enabling consumer engagement and supply chain transparency.
The EOS-620 Seal EM4425 features a sophisticated, tamper-resistant loop design and a detection interface. It is equipped with an EM Microelectronic em|echo-V IC (EM4425), which enables both NFC and RAIN RFID (UHF) technology. The extended tamper loop is a thin inlay “rear section” that extends from a 20 mm diameter round main antenna. It is particularly useful for tamper protection in markets such as premium wines and spirits, pharmaceuticals, and luxury items like perfumes.
How it Works
An intact tamper loop on the dual-frequency inlay indicates that the tagged item is sealed. A broken loop means it has clearly been tampered with. Another unique feature of this product is its additional RAIN RFID capability, which is enabled by the EM4425 IC. This allows customers to perform inventory visibility and product authentication with just one inlay. It can be used for a wide range of applications, including luxury goods, wine and spirits, healthcare, and pharma. And what’s more, consumers benefit from instant interactions, while businesses can take advantage of improved transparency in their supply chains and inventories.
As of 24 November 2025, it is the only tamper loop inlay on the market with NFC and RAIN RFID functionality, offering maximum flexibility and security. This demonstrates once again Tageos’ innovation leadership and speed to market.
More Variations Offer More Options
The EOS-620 Seal EM4425 is the latest addition to Tageos’ expanding portfolio of anti-tamper inlays and tags, which includes the EOS-920 Seal I3 TT and the EOS-925 Seal FA NTAG213 as of today. These high-performance products offer various types of tamper protection for a wide range of use cases.
Launched in summer 2025, the EOS-920 Seal I3 TT is a 50 x 20 mm rectangular NFC inlay with an innovative tamper loop design. Equipped with an NXP® Semiconductor ICODE3 TT chip, the inlay follows the ISO/IEC 15693 (Vicinity) / NFC Type 5 Tag protocol, offering a greater read range. Tagged items can be easily and quickly authenticated at any point in the supply chain with a simple tap of a smartphone. In case the tamper loop is damaged, the NFC tag can still be read and used for customer engagement purposes. Additionally, the tag has a digital interface that detects tampering, even if the tamper loop appears intact. These features increase security and provide additional protection against product counterfeiting.
Another member of the EOS Seal product family is the EOS-925 Seal FA NTAG213, which is an NFC inlay with a 25 mm diameter. The fragile antenna (FA) technology used here comprises a special layer that interrupts the connection between the antenna and the bridge of the inlay in the event of tampering. While the label may appear safe, it is no longer functional. With any NFC-enabled device, one can securely and easily determine whether the product has been tampered with by simply tapping the device on the label.
The EOS-925 Seal FA NTAG213 uses the NXP Semiconductor NTAG213 IC and adheres to the ISO/IEC 14443-A (Proximity) / NFC Type 2 Tag protocol, offering a typical NFC read range of a few centimeters.
Why it Matters
The Tageos EOS Seal family of tamper-detection inlays gives every product a secure physical protection and digital identity that consumers can instantly verify. This builds trust in products and brands, ensures product authenticity and value, and provides greater transparency for RFID tagged items, such as pharmaceuticals, premium beverages, and luxury goods.
Medicine or spirits bottles for example, equipped with the EOS-620 Seal EM4425 enable brand owners or retailers to accurately track inventory within the supply chain. These items are also protected against diversion or counterfeiting. And at the point of sale, consumers can use their smartphones to instantly verify the product’s authenticity and access relevant information on demand. A win-win situation for everyone involved throughout the entire product life cycle.
If the currently available EOS Seal inlays do not fit a specific product or item type you are looking for, the Innovation Center of Excellence at Tageos can help develop specialty inlays and tags antenna designs and/or tamper loop form factors to accommodate a variety of item shapes, materials, and surfaces.
