R&D Laboratory and Quality Control Technician (all genders)
Working as R&D Laboratory and Quality Control Technician you will be:
Reporting to the R&D Director, the R&D laboratory / Quality Control Technician supports the local Research & Development team by executing laboratory operations, quality control activities, and sample production tasks and ensuring product conformity, supporting development projects, and maintaining high technical standards across RFID/NFC inlay and label manufacturing processes.
You will be responsible for:
- Execute (under guidance) final inspection and encoding of RFID/NFC inlays and labels using roll-to-roll inspection systems.
- Perform comprehensive quality control activities, including mechanical and electrical testing, microscopy, and label-specific measurements on RFID/NFC transponders.
- Conduct incoming goods inspections of raw materials (antennas, chips, films, adhesives, and related components).
- Produce manual samples for R&D, external partners, and customers, including chip mounting, antenna prototyping, and label sample fabrication.
- Manage raw material inventory, oversee stock control of semi-finished and finished goods, and coordinate packaging and shipment of samples and products.
Background/Experiences:
- Successfully completed technical vocational training (e.g., Production Mechanic, Process Mechanic, Industrial Mechanic, Mechatronics Technician, Electronics Technician, Machine and Plant Operator, Printer, or Packaging Technologist).
- Demonstrates a precise, structured, and detail-oriented working style with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Solid technical aptitude with the ability to understand and operate complex machinery and production systems.
- Fluency in German (written and spoken).
- Working proficiency in English, with the ability to understand technical documentation and communicate effectively in a professional environment.
- Strong interest in and enthusiasm for working with modern production and inspection technologies. Ideally brings initial experience in machine setup, process adjustment, and quality assurance within a manufacturing environment. Collaborative team player with effective communication skills.
- High level of motivation, willingness to learn, and ability to quickly acquire new technical competencies.
- Strong quality mindset with a consistent commitment to maintaining high product and process standards.
