HR Manager (all genders)
Overview:
- Reporting to the General Manager, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for leading the strategic and operational delivery of human resources functions within the organization. This role partners with leadership to develop and implement people strategies that support business objectives, enhance organizational capability, strengthen company culture, and drive employee engagement and performance.
- The HR Manager oversees workforce planning, HR analytics, talent management, learning and development initiatives, and ensures HR practices align with organizational goals, legal requirements, and best practices.
You will be responsible for:
- HR Strategy & Organizational Development: Partner with leadership to develop and execute HR strategies aligned with business growth, organizational effectiveness, culture, and transformation. Support the General Manager in workforce planning and determining the annual staffing budget.
- Talent & Performance Management: Lead workforce planning, recruitment, talent development, succession planning, and performance management to attract, develop, and retain high-performing teams.
- Learning & Development: Drive learning initiatives, leadership development, skills development, and career growth. Develop and implement in-house training programs and track employee training progress and completion through Mercateam (Training & Tracking Management Software).
- Employee Relations & Engagement: Act as a trusted HR partner to managers and employees, fostering engagement, wellbeing, a strong company culture, and positive employee relations.
- HR Operations, Payroll & Benefits: Oversee HR operations, payroll using the ADP solution, benefits, onboarding/offboarding, HR administration, and ensure compliance with company policies and employment legislation.
- People Analytics & HR Governance: Develop HR metrics and people analytics to provide actionable insights, support data-driven decision-making, and ensure effective HR governance.
- HR Projects & Continuous Improvement: Lead HR projects and initiatives that support business priorities, improve HR processes and systems, and enhance the overall employee experience.
- HR Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop the HR team, ensuring efficient, compliant, and high-quality HR services aligned with the company’s strategic objectives and culture.
Background/experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or equivalent, with 10+ years of relevant HR experience, ideally in a manufacturing environment.
- Solid experience in HR operations within a continuous manufacturing environment, including shift work, overtime, and night/weekend schedules.
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation, recruitment, employee relations, and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, influencing, coaching, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with employees and management at all levels.
- Strong Excel and HR data management skills, with an analytical and data-driven approach.
- High level of confidentiality, discretion, integrity, and professionalism.
- Self-motivated, pragmatic, and able to work independently and under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Demonstrated ability to train, mentor, and develop employees and managers.
