Tageos launches EOS Zero™ Max, Further Expanding Its Market-Leading Portfolio of Truly Sustainable RFID Inlays
Montpellier, France, December 3, 2021 – RFID innovator Tageos has released its EOS Zero™ Max product line, comprising highly sustainable versions of its proven RAIN RFID inlays. The first new inlays include EOS-300 Zero Max, EOS-430 Zero Max and EOS-241 Zero Max, based on the latest generation of ICs from Impinj and NXP. As a result, Tageos offers the industry’s broadest range of highly sustainable inlays that all use FSC® certified paper as a substrate, and now also leverage cutting-edge 4ETM technology.
The introduction of the new product line will further complement the company’s EOS Zero product family, its existing portfolio of sustainable RAIN RFID inlays and tags ideally suited to a wide variety of applications and markets.
EOS Zero Max inlays and tags combine verifiably minimized ecological impact with the robustness needed for demanding environments and extended usage times. They also complement the existing EOS Zero Base and EOS Zero Plus product lines, which have established Tageos’ reputation as a pioneer and market leader in sustainable RFID inlays in recent years.
Precision laser-cut antennas from All4Labels
EOS Zero Max’s remarkable characteristics are the result of superior antennas that are made by precision laser-cutting 4E technology and supplied by Tageos’ partner All4Labels. These antennas enable FSC certified, paper-based RFID inlays that are 100% plastic-free, 100% heavy metal-free, and 100% conflict material-free. Therefore, EOS Zero Max inlays are highly efficient as they create significantly less waste of up to 70%, and a 90% smaller carbon footprint compared to PET-based products, while providing superior RF performance.
EOS Zero product family: three ways to highly sustainable inlays
Though labeled as EOS Zero Base, the first option in the Tageos Zero portfolio is at least as sustainable as Zero Plus and Zero Max, since it uses a vacuum deposition method to create functional, super-thin aluminum antennas with minimal use of materials on a biodegradable FSC certified paper substrate. The resulting flexible structure and the minimized use of aluminum render Zero Base inlays ideal for applications that combine maximum sustainability demands with less challenging environments and intended usage times.
To achieve the high robustness and longevity required for numerous applications in retail, logistics and industrial manufacturing, for example, Tageos also offers its EOS Zero Plus RFID inlays and tags, which retain all the advantages of the company’s high-performance inlay designs, and further help to significantly reduce carbon footprint without compromising RF performance. As part of the EOS Zero product family, all Zero Plus inlays are 100% plastic-free, 100% heavy metal-free and 100% conflict material-free.
“With our new EOS Zero Max product line, currently embodied by EOS-300, EOS-430 and EOS-241, we are not simply starting to round off what is already the industry’s most comprehensive portfolio of sustainable RFID inlays. We are also sending a loud and clear message to the market: That we have understood the sustainability needs of our customers and markets, and that we are and will continue to be the market leader in highly sustainable RFID inlays and tags to fully support our customers’ demands,” said Chris Reese, Director of Product Management at Tageos.
EOS Zero Max versions of EOS-300, EOS-430, EOS-241 Inlays
Spearheaded by the recently introduced EOS-300 Zero Max inlay, Tageos’ Zero Max product line is growing rapidly, as underpinned by the new EOS-430 and EOS-241. These inlays not only cover the same application areas, but also share the main characteristics and the excellent performance of their conventional siblings. Available in bulk quantities, EOS-300 Zero Max and EOS-430 Zero Max have already successfully passed the same ARC specifications as their PET substrate-based siblings, such as ARC spec F, G, I, K, L, M, N, Q, W1, W2, W3, W4, W5 and W6.
