Opening two new manufacturing facilities and significantly increasing our production capacity in just one year is certainly an enormous achievement. Add to that our complete adherence to industry-leading quality standards, and this achievement becomes even more comprehensive. The renewal of our ARC Quality Certification for all our manufacturing sites worldwide proves once again that Tageos is a true market leader.

By September 2024, Tageos announced that the Auburn University RFID Lab has once again renewed the company’s comprehensive ARC Quality Certification until the end of 2025. This is not only very good news for all the customers worldwide who rely on our high quality and innovative strength, but certainly also a great achievement for the company.

About a year ago, Tageos began to further expand its global manufacturing capabilities with the official opening of an extensive and fully fledged manufacturing facility in Guangzhou, China. Six months later, the French RFID powerhouse celebrated the opening of its new, equally extensive, state-of-the-art U.S. facility in Fletcher, North Carolina, marking the foundation of its comprehensive manufacturing capabilities in the United States.

With these two new sites plus the existing, further expanded facility at the company's headquarters in Montpellier, France, Tageos' total production capacity has now grown to more than 10 billion units annually, representing an increase of well over 100% in just one year.

Expanding capacity, maintaining the highest quality

Scaling a highly complex manufacturing operation across three continents is no easy task, and it becomes even more challenging when there is no room for compromise on industry-leading production standards and product quality. As a leading manufacturer of RAIN RFID inlays and tags, a seamless continuation of its ARC Quality Certification was essential for Tageos. Not only because the company has already successfully completed the certification process, but also because of the comprehensive quality promise Tageos makes to its customers. This is also reflected in the fact that the company now offers more than 170 ARC-compliant products, which can be easily and transparently identified using the Tageos Product Selector.

The Auburn University’s RFID Lab and the ARC program are highly regarded by customers and the marketplace for their high standards of quality, performance and innovation. As a result, the ARC Quality Certification is an important seal of quality for the development and production of RAIN RFID inlays and tags. Many well-known retailers and brand owners, especially in the U.S. market, closely coordinate their RFID requirements with the Auburn University RFID Lab and trust it to define the respective standards and specifications for them.

Driving quality – since 2009

Launched in 2009, the ARC program has become the universal standard for identifying and communicating requirements for passive RAIN RFID (UHF) inlays across the RFID ecosystem. Many end-customers in a variety of industries including but not limited to retail, apparel, aviation, manufacturing and transportation, already rely on ARC specifications and standards when selecting RFID inlays for their deployments. Technology vendors accordingly use these so-called ARC Specs to design and develop cutting-edge products to comply with these standards. This allows and enables use cases to be fully addressed and new applications to be made available based on scalable and highly reliable performance standards. The goal is to define and understand the performance parameters of RAIN RFID inlays and compare them to end-customer performance requirements. For more first-hand information, click here.
